At The Glass Fixer, Inc, we understand that when storefront door glass breaks, whether a break-in, vandalism, or any of the million other reasons glass can break, it’s essential to our customers that they be put back together quickly. With that in mind, we offer two levels of framed door glass replacement services.

Same Day Storefront Door Glass Replacement

For framed storefront doors, we keep about 30 standard sizes in stock. So in many cases, we can get your glass installed on the same day. But sometimes that isn’t an option, which might be because the glass is just outside the standard size, or it might not be a standard color. Most of our same-day door glass is clear, but we do stock bronze glass as well. Also, using the same-day service (if it’s an option), you can save on a costly board-up.

2-day Storefront Door Glass Replacement

For non-standard sized door glass, or other colors like gray or green door glass, we have to order the glass from the factory, and then we install it on a different day. Tempered safety glass can not be cut due to the tempering process, which uses special ovens to heat the glass. Once tempered, the glass will just break into its tell-tale tiny pieces if we attempt to cut it. So, we order the door glass to the exact size and install it within two days in most cases.

Frameless ½” Glass Doors

The more modern, heavy, ½”, frameless door glass always requires ordering and special handling. The timing for these is usually within one week of the time of order.

With all our storefront/commercial entry door glass installations, we inspect the door’s function and tighten and adjust any door components to ensure that your door is in working order before we leave. When the door glass breaks, other parts of the door assembly may be thrown out of whack; that’s why all of our technicians are trained to repair and replace commercial door closers and other moving parts.
