Storefront Door Service in San Clemente, CA: Complete Double-Door Restoration an Affordable Alternative to Storefront Door Replacement

At The Glass Fixer, we recently completed a double storefront door service in San Clemente, California, for a customer whose doors hadn't been serviced in years. What We Did

This double-door service call included our full 50-point storefront door inspection and tune-up, covering every component of both doors. During the inspection, we found that both concealed door closers and one bottom pivot set had worn out due to alignment issues caused by an uneven threshold.

To restore the system, we:

Replaced both concealed closers with new 105° hold-open models. These allow the doors to open smoothly to 105 degrees and hold open securely until gently pushed closed.

Replaced one door pivot set that had worn out from the uneven threshold.

Removed and leveled the threshold, which had been leaning into the building by about half an inch, twisting the pivot bearing and accelerating wear.

Sealed the exterior edge of the threshold to the concrete to prevent future moisture and movement issues.

We replaced two missing glass stops to keep the glass panels secure and stable.

After these repairs, the doors now operate smoothly, evenly, and quietly — just like new. What could have been a costly door replacement was instead a door restoration completed for roughly 20% of the replacement cost.
